Wonderful, peaceful place to stay and relax with the dogs. Love the lodge and hot tub after a day out, useful to be able to set the heating within the lodge to personal preferences. Great to have all the essential items- such as toilet paper, dish towels, soap and hair dryer. There are fantastic local walks, wonderful wildlife and in such a large area you rarely meet anyone whilst out. Being able to order meals in was great, although a little expensive-but who minds on holiday! For a longer stay laundry facilities would be useful especially with the dogs and their messy towels.Have stayed here 4 times already and will do do again.

Overall lovely stay. We stayed in the Birch Lodge. Clean and well equipped. Hot tub was amazing. The forest walks were nice as a family with young toddlers and grandparents. Only low points. The toilets were very difficult to flush. Took all your force with two hands. Also they didn't let my family members enter the lodge until i came with proof of ID. Which hasn't ever happened in other lodges i have stayed in. I was running late due to traffic so my parents had to wait in the car for an hour.
