We stayed for a weekend, only staff member we encountered was security guard on arrival & did not use facilities so cannot comment. The lodge was lovely, warm & cosy, if tired around the edges. Utensils were dirty, stool at breakfast bar broken, a lot of cobwebs, just a lack of attention to detail from housekeeping but was ideal for our weekend away.Location 5* so easy to get around, would recommend for this alone, Polzeath, Rock, ferry to Padstow all with easy reach & fantastic choice of shops at Wadebridge, both independent shops & Tesco, M&S food etc.

We had an out of season break so the facilities were all closed, we were told about this before arrival. I feel it would be a good idea to tell guests at the point of booking to avoid disappointment. I just wanted the accommodation and was impressed with the size, facilities and low price. We did have a rat in the kitchen but it was dealt with swiftly. All in all a comfortable cheap out of season break.
