Hawkchurch Resort and Spa

HawkChurch resort and spar where we spent 4 days last week was amazing place to stay. We stayed in the Coleridge Lodge. It was spotless, modern and very spacious . The complex was very close to Lyme Regis in which we visited also West bay. I would definitely recommend this place, you won’t be disappointed.

We love the lodge and the location. The only let down was the lack of notice about the National grid turning off all electricity. We had a call to check on our arrival time only an hour before we arrived but no mention of it. This meant we couldn’t use the pool and spa. It was supposed to be off from 10am until 3pm but the tv couldn’t be restored until the following day. The staff were not interested.

We had a lovely stay at our lodge at Hawkchurch. We found the lodge to be clean and well stocked and was in an ideal location for trips to Lyme Regis, Sidmouth and Seaton.We did experience a few issues whilst there:On arrival (Monday) we were told of a planned electrical outage by the national grid on Wednesday. Hawkchurch told us they had only been informed that day. This seems strange as when we spoke to the national grid they said they always give at least a weeks notice!. Unfortunately we were unable to use the facilities at the lodge including hot tub and hydrotherapy pool. When we brought this up the staff on site seemed to gloss over it and offered no compensation. Even a free drink that day would have helped. Subsequently the tv in the lodge didn't work and was not rectified until the next day. We also had to raise a couple of issues such as a broken hot tub cover and lack of hot water.Overall the lodges and location is lovely but Staff at reception could have delt with any arising issues in a more sympathetic manner!
