We had some issues with the lodge, but they were rectified quickly and satisfactorily.

Our lodge for 6 people was very poor, the fridge was so small for 6 people, it was ridiculous, seating in the lounge was very uncomfortable, too long in the seat to be comfy and too low, the lighting in the lounge was very poor, we had to use torches to get enough light to read or play a board game, the hot tub filters were not working well and was gritty under foot, the shower in the main ensuite was leaking on to the floor, all reported to staff, for the cost of the lodge, it was very poor. I have been in quite a few, lodges and this one was certainly the worst of the lot on the good side it was well kitted out with lots of plates cups and cutlery, and was very clean when we arrived, we loved the position of the lodge, and it wasn't too near to other lodges.

Our stay was an alternative to our original booking but nevertheless we had a really enjoyable time. The lodge was spacious and had everything we needed. Maybe additional space/cupboards to store our groceries would be useful as all the kitchen units were for equipment/appliances. Being in the forest was lovely and cool taking us away from the 24 degrees outside and the site was nice and quiet. The hot tub was enjoyable along with the birds and squirrels who paid a visit. We also enjoyed a river cruise at Symmonds Yat with the ducks.
