Had a wonderful say at Fallbarrow. The location is amazing for the lake and getting into Bowness on foot. Meant we didn’t need the car as much. The lodge had most things we needed. Could tell some previous occupants weren’t very careful as some doors chipped. Also felt it wasn’t the cleanest. Floors left our socks dirty and it needed a good dust in areas. Also some oven gloves would have been great.

Basic lodge for price. Small things like washing up liquid, soap in bathroom should be provided for price paid. Site claims no groups allowed yet we were next door to a rowdy hen party!Location is great as nice to walk into Bowness and lake setting ideal.
