White Cross Bay

White Cross Bay was very family orientated. There were many activities and facilities for kids. Safety of the visitors was very evident; low speed limit signs posted throughout, speed bumps everywhere. One would have figured with as large a facility that White Cross Bay is, noise would have been an issue, but there was little or no noise. Very quiet and peaceful. But, there are several negative things that I feel are important to mention. We lost power in our cabin three times during our week's stay. The internet signal was either totally missing or was very spotty at best. Having to go up to the Main Reception Building simply to check our email is not a very positive thing since we relay on the internet so greatly in today's world. And finally, the quality of the cabin structure needed some work; One of the windows in the Living Room leaked when it rained, another one had so much rot on the bottom of the frame you could see outside between the glass and the window frame, the ceiling in the Living Room had some mold starting to appear above the window that leaked. Mold issues in the bathroom window as well.

Everything was good, apart from the rooms, 2 single beds had springs coming out it was very difficult for my sons sleep. Duvet covers had this horrible smell. I don't think it was washed. Caravan, it's smell, apart from that it was ok

A very nice quiet campsite. Accommodation was very comfortable and clean. Scenery is second to none, straight on to Lake Windermere.Will definitely be returning.The only thing that was missing is a secure dog area, where the four legged family members can have a good run off the lead.
