Whispering Waters is a boutique collection of unique lodges set above the tree-lined River Tees in Lower Teesdale; England’s last wilderness.
The lodges at Whispering Waters are truly something special. Built to the highest engineering specifications, the lodges are as close to providing a passive living environment as is possible. Underfloor heating throughout provides a consistent temperature night and day and with the wood burner glowing gently in the background you’re guaranteed to feel snug, cosy and secure at all times of the year and whatever the weather.
The lodges at Whispering Waters have been designed with all the environmental considerations in mind; the meadow roof not only looks great but is there to remind you of all the construction elements you can’t see behind the scenes.
Each lodge has a bespoke design, and juxtaposes the leafy green countryside environment outside with their stripped back, industrial New York loft interior styling. You’ll spend your time gazing through the trees and across the Tees through the panoramic windows of your centre-lounge lodge, standing on the smooth concrete floors in the ambient temperature delivered through the state of the art underfloor heating. When you do step outside, enjoy the tranquillity of an evening under the stars in your outdoor hot tub on the south facing decking with the sound of the Whispering Waters of the River Tees as your backdrop.
The lodges central living design delivers the highest levels of privacy possible. With bedrooms at either end of the accommodation and with two shower rooms/WCs, you’re guaranteed a good night’s sleep and fantastic private views across the river in the morning. Each lodge is equipped with an oven/grill, induction hob, microwave, coffee pod machine, toaster, fridge with freezer compartment and dishwasher, all complemented by quality cookware and tools.
