To start the holiday off, I never received a email/text to let me know where I can get the key from. I had to ask a man who said he was the site manager, he told me nobody have turned up and told me the code for the lock to gain access to the key.Upon entrance the floors were very dirty. So spent 30 minutes hoovering the floors. Finding a dummy, a board game and a child's book along the way. Thought we would stick the kettle on and sit down to unwind, turned the TV on to find the channel babe station on the TV. Opened up the cupboard to get some mugs out to find they still had dirt stains inside them. So then spent another 10 minutes washing up. Then when coming to dry them found the tea towel that was left out had stains all over it.Thought we would check the plates, glasses and cutlery to be disappointed in the same dirty condition. The roads/access to the lodge are very very poor. We had to navigate through pot holes from the main entrance to the lodge. Absolutely disgusting. The area of where the lodge is located is very nice, very relaxing/quiet and private. So can't fault that! Plenty of shops, takeaways/restaurants within arms reach. The ashtrays in the back decking area still filled up with dirty fags. Was very disappointed in the overall experience and was happy to leave at 8am on the departure date. Unfortunately wouldn't recommend to anyone, and will not be going back. It's such a shame.

This is the second time that I have stayed here, the first time was fantastic as it was a new place to be, however there were some issues, door handles falling off, telly doesn’t work in any of the rooms, but I stayed there for Christmas 2024 and I was appalled by the deterioration of the place, same door handles were broken, again no tv in any of the rooms, showers were so low in pressure that I gave up trying to have one, hole in the decking, filthy hot tub, dirty unemptied fire places, they say it caters for 6 it only realistically caters for 4 no glasses or enough plates, just a run down tired shed that’s advertised as amazing, complete waste of money

Such a shame as we were really looking forward to our stay! Firstly the lodge its self was filthy, previous occupants trainer was found under the bed, along with wet towels, this indicates poor cleaning standard. The internet didn’t work, the hot tub gave my 7 year old chemical burns after I’d contacted the office to inform them it was filthy, they just put more chemicals in so bad that my 14 year old son went faint while in there. The cutlery draw, oven, kettle, toaster and fridge were absolutely atrocious! We won’t even get started on the bathrooms, antibacterial hand soap that had fungus growing inside the bottle that matched the fungus growing on the windows. All in all absolutely awful, I gave the lodge a deep clean but still it felt dirty. My children couldn’t use the hot tub I’d payed for, we couldn’t use the WiFi, we had to eat out as the oven was filthy. Needless to say we cut our stay short and came home, on the way out we hit one of the hundreds of potholes leading up to the lodges and got a flat tyre… avoid this place at all cost honestly!
