Stayed in Lodge 63, the accessible accommodation at Thorpe Lodges.Lodge us on a flat plot of land, which is great for a wheelchair user with long ramp to the front door. Inside, the accommodation had lots of turning space with accessible hot and sink in the kitchen, lovely step free wet room. But the show stopper of the accommodation is the accessible hot tub. This is a game changer! Partner is paralysed, and having a full chair hoist was fabulous. Hot tub was also checked/serviced daily and within the first couple of hours a lady came to fill out the PEEP form and demo the hoist. Stayed off peak season, lots of peace and quiet accessible walks available but we tended to go off site, due to the wet weather and its muddy walks not being something we do! This is the second accessible forest Lodge we have stayed in, both very similar, although this one was on a level pitch, making it easier than the previous site.
