The Orchards Holiday Village is in a real heartland for the staycation. Sat at the tip of the beautiful Point Clear, the park is a great place to escape to for break away from the big city. There’s a whole host of activities to try on park, a modern indoor swimming pool, and a great entertainment venue complete with a bar, Papa John’s and a Cook’s Fish and Chips pop up to satisfy your tastebuds.

Both our toilets packed up in the morning went to restaurant to use there's it was closed my husband ended up mending them himself not what he really wanted to do on holiday . Bingo is far to early and childrens entertainment goes on for to long.

The site site was OK but it was a long way away from Clacton. You couldn't really walk to anywhere nice so it was always a bus or a taxi to go anywhere. The facilities were not fully open and those that were closed early. Having to return to the caravan at 9pm was a but naff. The most disappointing part of the holiday was our location on site. We went with friends who were put in a completely different site. It was so far away we couldnt even walk to each others caravans. I think you should make it clear The Orchards are made up of two separate sites

Unaware that the holiday camp was divided in two with a very poorly presented residential area in the centre. Made the distance from base to reception area unacceptably long and unwalkable, hence having to drive to have a meal and then unable to have a drink. On the whole the facilities were either closed or working to restricted hours/services. We and our holiday friends booked on the same day, same application expecting to be able to walk to each other and socialise. This proved impossible and marred our enjoyment . We have participated in many Haven 4 day holidays and have never had cause to feedback anything other than positively. This time, unfortunately, this is not so. The site was tired, facilities sparse and area/layout little short of derelict in places. Ending on a positive note: the caravan was immaculate, well equipped and easily accessible. A broom would have been useful!! We would not go back to this venue or area in the future but do intend to continue our spring breaks at a more pleasant, tried and tested site.
