Steeple Bay

3.7

out of 5

Steeple Bay is the hidden treasure of the South East of England, with ready access to the Mayland Creek, and its own private slipway for boats and jet skis.

You can relax in the Riverside bar or take part in a wide range of activities. Why not take a dip in the swimming pool while the kids have fun around park. If you’re looking for a relaxed getaway for all the family then Steeple Bay is the place to be. You don’t have to be an active boatman to enjoy Steeple Bay, just watching the boats and yachts go by is the perfect therapy for today’s stressful lifestyle. Steeple Bay boasts a well-stocked fishing lake and day tickets are available from reception.

The heated outdoor leisure pool is perfect for children and grown-ups alike with a paddling pool for younger guests. The entertainment venue will round off a perfect day with live music and shows during busier periods. The medieval town of Maldon is nearby and with lots of shops and restaurants to discover, Thursdays and Saturdays are best as they are market days!

Steeple Bay sits along the banks of the Blackwater Estuary with beautiful unspoilt views across the water and, if you are lucky the sight of seals that are frequent visitors to the area! The Seals love Steeple Bay, and so will you!

Lovely stay as worth the money and staff all lovely, only one point to make is that clubhouse was closed all week til 5pm when told it was only Wednesday and Thursday but did not effect our stay. We had a dog and clubhouse only dog friendly til 5pm so could not go and eat in evenings but made most of our facilities in our caravan to have meals 😊
