Lovely site with a variety of different accommodation choice. We stayed in 1 bed micro lodge which was great. Comfortable, well located, quiet and a lovely hot tub.Facilities on site could do with a well needed upgrade, especially the swimming pool. Pool is warm to get in but the area it is in needs replacing. No changing facilities currently, condensation everywhere and getting dripped on. We had snails for company during our swims. Coupled with there only being 30 spaces available per booking slot which are available from 7pm the night before, it desperately needs updating. People book for the whole family and then only 2 people attend meaning they have taken space for others. Poor system. This is the same for water and kids activities which seem to have been fully booked months in advance which doesn't seem fair to me. Bar and restaurant were good to use, but as winding down to end of season a lot of options not available as they have been told not to order anything in, so we were told by staff. Food was good that we did have via takeaway. Lovely curry, good pizzas and kids were always happy with their food. Only went to club house for kids entertainment which was good enough. Some songs and dances, and a different character to have a photo taken with. This time could probably be better served of doing more activities - games, dancing singing, as opposed to half hour of standing in a line waiting for a photo.Overall a lovely half term break, but things could be a lot better with some improvements.
