Rosneath Castle Park

4.7

out of 5

Rosneath Castle Park is a quiet and peaceful retreat with a beautiful lochside setting near Helensburgh in Argyll on Scotland’s West Coast. Offering some of the most spectacular scenery Scotland has to offer.

Rosneath is a great base for discovering Loch Lomond, the Trossachs and the Highlands, and is just an hour’s drive from Glasgow.

Trails from Rosneath lead through deer filled woods that overlook lochs and the Firth of Clyde. The local area is steeped in history, from Wallace’s Loup, where the Scottish Braveheart leapt from a cliff to escape the English army, to the cave and prison of 18th century hero Rob Roy.

Local highlights include Inverary Castle and Gardens, the world’s only sea-going paddle steamer, whisky tours and restaurants serving wonderful seasonal food.

After a day conquering the waters, exploring the surroundings or enjoying the local attractions, you’ll find a tasty meal and drinks served up in the popular bar and bistro, with live entertainment taking place on many evenings.
