Parmontley Hall Lodges enjoys a truly idyllic setting nestled in the heart of the historic 12,500-acre Whitfield Estate, designated as an ’Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty’. Stunningly secluded, hosting breathtaking views of the North Pennines and a wealth of rare flora and fauna, this is the perfect base to escape the hustle and bustle and relax into a slower pace of life.

Exquisitely designed to enhance the magnificent natural setting, this small cluster of boutique lodges are complemented by sumptuous, chic furnishings. Each lodge boasts a verandah for soaking up the exceptional views.

Wonderful walks and cycle trails unfold from the doorstep, with the charming Elk’s Head Inn also on the estate. Further afield, a wealth of picture-postcard villages, Hadrian’s Wall and Hexham Abbey are easily accessible. Kielder Forest Park, The Lake District, the north-east coastline and cosmopolitan Newcastle are only an hour’s drive away.

Darren Wakefield | Other Excellent value for money , had the site to ourselves (literally) . Very quiet & secluded , nearest shop was approx 20 min drive so take shopping !! , bar/restaurant onsite was closed only open certain months of year . A couple of small issues , the bins in the bathrooms weren’t emptied , 1 had a dirty swim nappy in , other had used toilet paper in . We didnt actually see anyone until the third day we were there & they were only there for the day . We’ve been in lodges many times at Christmas but unfortunately we was a little disappointed there wasn’t a tree in the lodge or anything to resemble Christmas , overall though I would highly recommend for a very quiet & chilled break for the price we paid , we would look at booking again in the months when the bar/restaurant is open .

Carol Fife | Other On first glance Cupola lodge is a large 2 bedroom lodge with a weird office room and a walk-in wardrobe No rules/ regulations for lodge or hot tub no information of local area what to see / where to eat, the only information was a typed sheet with office hours and clubhouse hours for adjoining caravan site, nearby doctors and supermarket. No welcome pack - we received a bottle of Prosecco because our dishwasher was broken so I ended doing dishes all week.No PAT stickers.Kitchen was minging !!! Went straight to supermarket for Flash to clean the worktops and handles, washed all cutlery, dishes and glasses, oven was a health hazard rubber seal hanging off didn’t look as if it had been cleaned this year.Microwave was rusty. Dead bugs everywhere.Windows filthy inside and out. The bed was comfy.

Tracey Livingston | Other Booked a last minute getaway to the Peel Lodge. Was happy with what we got. The Lodge itself was clean, very spacious, had all the basics that you need. It does have a hot tub which was fabby.The park is quiet just what we were looking for. Lovely scenery. There was a little village just 10 min up the road which had a co-op so all good for bread & milk.It has a club house, which has a bar, tv, pool table. Marie & Michael were great, they were our go to for any questions. It is a cashless bar but that was no problem, they sorted us out. There were a lot of owners on site, everyone was friendly stopped to say hello.Already looking to book to go back.
