Stayed in a 2 bedroom diamond lodge in October so out of season and facility opening times were very limited but we knew that before we booked and were going there to take our daughter to do a week's work experience at the Seawatch Foundation so we weren't looking so much for a holiday as somewhere comfortable to stay while we were there. The lodge was spotlessly clean. We did have an issue with the shower in the main bathroom having no hot water but reported that straight away and had housekeeping out withing half an hour to fix it. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The lodge had everything we needed including washing machine, dishwasher, full size fridge freezer, oven, hob, microwave, hoover, iron and ironing board. Although we didn't need it there was also a travel cot and high chair in the lodge. Both bedrooms had a separate dressing area with an en-suite shower room in the main bedroom and a door from the second bedroom in to the main bathroom. Although there is a washing machine in the lodge there is no dryer and in October not much opportunity to hang your washing out but there is a laundrette on site were you can dry your washing. The park was very quiet and felt safe and we had a nice sea view from the decking of our lodge. The only downside for us was that there was no onsite shop. There is a Costcutters in New Quay and a Londis in Cross Inn and if you want to travel a bit further there are larger supermarkets in Aberystwyth (around 25 to 30 minute drive).New Quay itself is a really nice place with a few gift shops and restaurants and quite a few of fish and chip shops. It is really hilly though. You can sea dolphins every day from the harbour (we found the best time to see them was early in the morning) or you can take a boat trip to see the dolphins, porpoises, seals and gannets. September and October is pupping season for the seals so if you take a boat trip during this time you should be able to see the babies.
