Pros: Nairn is lovely place and a great base for going to Landmark and Inverness. The site is directly on the beach which is great.Takeaway options for food in Nairn are really good, and we had a Chinese deliver right to the caravan door. There is entertainment on every evening The caravan was clean enough. Cons: The caravans are very close together, meaning that every window we looked out of, we were looking directly at another caravan. You can hear every sound from the other caravans, even coughing etc, and most nights we struggled to get to sleep as we could hear someone running up and down their caravan constantly and playing with a ball past 11pm. We booked a caravan that was supposed to have a washing machine, but there was no washing machine to be found. We could only get one 45 minute swimming slot during the 4 days we were there, despite booking immediately after slots opened 6 weeks in advance. The caravan site is run by Parkdean, I am not sure whether booking directly with them would have made a difference. The pool is quite chilly when you get in. It is small and busy, and not great when other people are throwing beach balls around near your head. There is a much nicer pool in Inverness with slides, I would recommend going there instead, and do not book a caravan here based on it having a pool as you might not even get a slot during your stay. Someone in the check in queue in front of me was saying she couldn't get a space, her complaint was just brushed off and she was basically told she should have booked sooner. The food at the restaurant was not very nice, I would describe it as being worse quality than a wetherspoons, and as it was the end of season a lot of menu items were not available. The only entertainment later on is bingo for 18s and over only. The bingo goers smoke right outside the building, next to the arcades. The arcade is basic. Due to the smokers outside, the arcade can often smell really strongly of smoke. Don't expect any frills or a nice view here.
