Tucked amongst rolling Somerset fields, Luckington Burrows are the perfect holiday hideouts, surrounded by stunning walkways, cycle paths, and unspoilt countryside as far as the eye can see.

Each turf-covered, storybook-style roundhouse is a home away from home, just a stone’s throw from the beautiful villages of Kilmersdon – known for Jack and Jill’s famous hill – and Mells, not to mention the historic market town of Frome. Nestled in the Mendip Hills, Cheddar Gorge and caves are just a short drive away, as is Longleat Safari Park, and the UNESCO World Heritage city of Bath – a must-see for fans of Jane Austen and Bridgerton alike! Myth-steeped Glastonbury is easily accessible by car, or why not explore the winding waterways of Bradford-on-Avon, the world-famous gardens at Stourhead, or visit the Cathedral and moated palace in England’s smallest city, Wells.

Such an idyllic location near the Somerset–Wiltshire border allows guests to enjoy the very best of both counties. The perfect destination for romantic breaks, family getaways or a gathering of otherwise far-flung friends… there really is something for everyone to enjoy.

It was our second visit and stayed in the Nest which was bigger than the hive where we stayed before. Alex was very helpful and was on hand for all our needs. It’s a beautiful place and so comfortable and offers everything you need including the fantastic hot tub. The only thing we did find that we felt a bit cold in the evenings although it has underfloor heating we found it took ages to get warm and we feel that additional heating would be more beneficial in the colder evenings. We would definitely recommend it and we would definitely stay again.

Good points 1st Was ready 30 mins before check in .. nice guy that owns / runs it … we stayed in the meadow and we have a lovely view off the horses . Good fast wifi Nice size garden for the dogs Lovely big hot tub and was ready for us when we arrived even have dressing gowns for u to wear they do provide tea .coffee.sugar ( we took our own ) but no milk nice surprise off sweets and dog treat for the kid and dog tho .. t.v in 2 off the 3 bedrooms the is a dog wash area and washing machine on site ( we did not use them ) Now the bad points Sleeps 6 but on 4 stools And 5 garden chairs The garden well it’s like a slop pit when it’s been raining and if your dog will more then likely will go on top off the hobbit house and do be warned they will come in and smell off horse poo ( don’t know why ) The t.vs don’t have normal t.v and u will have to sign in your u.tube .. bbc player etc and don’t forget to sign out off them before u leave . The bed are very high even our teen who is over 6ft tall said they was every high for them aswell .. only one loo …The signs to where they are very small and u will more than likely drive past it ….

This was such a unique experience for our family. The burrow itself was lovely and clean, equipped with everything you could need for a mini break. Everything was beautifully maintained and having an enclosed garden for the dog to roam in was brilliant. The green shed with the dog washing unit was a great addition and much needed after long, muddy dog walks. I would definitely recommend it to anyone!
