We stayed at Limefitt Park 3rd March. The site itself was ideally situated between Windermere and Ambleside both a few minutes drive away. There is a pub on site situated to the back of the park which served food and also did deliveries to your lodge. We didn't eat there so we can't comment on quality. There is also a small shop on site covering your basics. We have stayed in many lodges over time and in the case of this one we were glad we took kitchen basics like washing up liquid, sponge, kitchen roll other than that there was everything you need to self cater. The site was clean and well kept. A few of the lodges were tired looking but on the whole a lovely site.

The “lodge” was NOT as described in any way shape or form, in particular laminate floor and open plan. Rather than a modern feel it felt old and in need of TLC. Only four of everything was provided for (+ one serving spoon) which made serving at meal times problematic. It was also “freezing” in the lodge when we arrived, delivering far from the warmest of welcomes. Overall emotion “disappointment”
