Guests can bring their dog on holiday, and fish, walk and cycle across Helsey’s farmland, and there is an Interpretation Centre to showcase the heritage and farming culture of this unique part of the coastal strip. This is the ideal retreat to enjoy the countryside with walks joining up with the footpaths to local villages, or even all the way to the coast. You can also enjoy the nightlife in busy Skegness, Lincoln or other towns nearby.
Nearby Hogsthorpe, just over a mile away, has a great pub and a selection of shops. For a day at the seaside, head into Chapel St Leonards, 3 miles, with amusements, beach with Seascape Observatory, and a café where early birds can book a table to enjoy breakfast while watching the sun rise over the sea. The traditional seaside resort of Skegness is 8 miles away and offers something for all the family to enjoy with lovely sandy beaches, amusements, fun fair, aquarium, cinema and Gibraltar Point Nature Reserve. Along the coast is Anderby Creek, Sandilands and Sutton-on-Sea. You can walk or cycle from Sandilands all the way to Mablethorpe, along the promenade with the beach and sea alongside you.
Inland are the market towns of Alford and Louth, the entrance to the Lincolnshire Wolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Travel to East Kirkby to see Just Jane, the WWII Lancaster Bomber as it performs its taxi runs at the East Kirkby Aviation Centre. Visit Cadwell Park for the motor racing or Skegness Stadium for the banger racing, both sure to offer a fun filled day of excitement.
