A lovely and relaxing place to stay. The site was beautiful and you couldn't help but feel relaxed in the tranquil setting! It was well located for local attractions and a great place for walking.

On arriving to the accessible lodge location was fab, clean, tidy and spacious in the kitchen, master bedroom and living room and disabled bathroom for a wheelchair. However the hall way to the accessible toilet was very narrow and a challenge to get in and out of the door with the wheelchair but once inside the room was great. The main bedroom where we were staying was spacious and lovely however the toilet in our room had no rails around the toilet so had to go down the hall if you were the disabled person staying in the main bedroom if you couldn’t cope without the disabled rails around the toilet. Also the push button flush was so hard to press it took two hands to press it not good if you’ve got issues with your hands. Decking area was spacious but no umbrella for table which I asked about but due to health and safety reasons we weren’t allowed one and as it was so hot couldn’t sit outside when we wanted too as there wasn’t any shade which spoilt our enjoyment of the area we could sit outside. Went to cafe a couple of times food we wanted wasn’t always available as they had run out which wasn’t good. Took our dogs along but £15 a night is extortionate as nothing is provided for them and over a week if you have two dogs was a lot of money for them on top of the price you already pay. Staff were nice and helpful. Would I book again? Loved the lodge, where it was but think the expence of the dogs on top would make me look elsewhere.
