We stayed in Penny Lodge and was welcomed by Sue. The lodge was spotless, homely, some unique furnishings and picturesque views across the fields. The lodge was plenty big enough for four of us, the games and the hot tub kept us entertained. The positioning of the three lodges, makes it private and not overlooked in any way.The location was perfect for us but others may want more, it's a short drive into Durham or to the beach at Seaham. We found a couple of pubs in walking distance but there's not much in close proximity.Overall it was an excellent place to stay and would definitely recommend.

Lovely lodge set in beautiful surroundings, extremely peaceful and quiet. Everything has been thought of by the owners and everything has been provided and Sue is on hand should you need any assistance and is very helpful. All fittings and furnishings are of excellent quality and there are lots of different things to see around the lodge both inside and outside.Lots of wildlife to watch including hares, pheasants and many little birds too who all enjoy the bird feeders.Great places to visit around and about, would recommend Seaham and the beach also the Belmont park and ride into Durham it’s really close and easy to use.If you like a takeaway I can recommend Royal City Chinese about a mile away in the village of Haswell - good value and delicious! We had a great stay in Penny Lodge.
