A playground for walkers, cyclists, and nature lovers.
If you are looking for a stunning place to have a break away and a ’digital detox’, look no further than Daisy Bank Camp. Brand new to Hoseasons for 2023.
Daisy Bank Camp is set in the grounds of our family’s permaculture smallholding in West Yorkshire. We are remote, yes, but also connected: you’ll find us only ten minutes’ drive from Hebden Bridge, Heptonstall and Todmorden. And only 30 minutes from Howarth, home of the Brontës. The camp is ideal for those searching for relaxation and to experience the countryside. With peace and tranquillity at its heart, there are no TVs or Wi-Fi on site! This really is a perfect location to unwind and re-charge the batteries.
Alongside the sweet heather and thistle banks, sit our six timber-clad cabins - or ’nests’ as we call them. Built by hand, each cabin is named after the birds that fill the air in this precious patch of West Yorkshire; with carefully decorated interiors featuring wallpaper by Hannah Nunn https://www.hannahnunn.co.uk/ and artwork by Kate Boyce https://www.kateboyce.co.uk/ that reflect the birds and the beautiful wilderness they call home. Here, you can roam the landscape of Ted Hughes and the Brontës right from your front door - and fill your soul with the light, the clouds, and the endless views. It’s wild, it’s beautiful and it’s waiting to welcome you.
From our door you can walk the Calderdale https://www.ldwa.org.uk/ldp/members/show_path.php?path_name=Calderdale+Way and Pennine Ways https://www.alpineexploratory.com/walking-guides/pennine-way.html or cycle the Sustrans National Route 68 https://www.sustrans.org.uk/find-a-route-on-the-national-cycle-network/route-68 . Should you simply want to curl up with a book alongside the butterflies, birds and deer that live alongside us, be our guest. Think of us as your breathing space from everyday life and you won’t go far wrong.
