Whether you’re seeking a romantic getaway or a fun-filled family holiday, Coole Acres provides the ideal setting for relaxation and recreation.

For fishing enthusiasts, Coole Acres Fishery is a true gem. Set against the backdrop of lush greenery and serene waters, the lakes are well-stocked offering Carp, Tench, and Perch, with further specimen fishing available, as the lakes are also home to whopping 49lb Catfish and 34lb Carp. Guests have access to an on-site licensed café (open Thurs – Sun, 9:30am-9pm), as well as the seasonal facilities of the campsite next door including a small shop and occasional food truck.

The village of Audlem is a mere 5-minute drive and home to a range of shops, cafés, and canal side pubs. In the other direction is Nantwich, which can be reached in around a 10-minute drive. Nantwich has a vibrant town centre full of pubs, restaurants, boutiques, and cafés, as well as quite uniquely being home to a seasonal, outdoor brine swimming pool. It also plays host to the famous Jazz and Blues Weekend at Easter and the International Cheese Awards in July. Within half an hour you can cross the border into Shropshire and visit Whitchurch, or less than an hour’s drive will take you to the county town Shrewsbury or magnificent city of Chester. For those who like to explore the great outdoors you can pick up the Sandstone Trail in Tarporley or visit the castles of Beeston and Cholmondeley. For a bit of excitement, Delamere Forest and Wild Shore Delamere are around a 45-minute drive, or Alton Towers is around an hour. From relaxation to exhilaration, you really are spoilt for choice.

Lisa Eccles | Other We had a great weekend here. Lodge was beautiful with a lovely hot tub. We had trips into Nantwich and Audlem which are both great and not far. The staff are so friendly and helpful and couldn’t do enough for you. Would definitely recommend.

Regis Aberdeen | Other Where to begin… this is our first time we had so many issues on a holiday. No welcome pack with information on Cool acres and rules. Very basic cleaning of the lodge (many big cobwebs everywhere), missing light bulbs, dirty hot tub which was not checked daily so got worse at each use, no wifi and when asked was told they were contacting provider and would get back to us… still waiting a week later (this forced our daughter to go back to campus to finish some work), hot tub built wrong so had to be careful not to hurt ourselves when entering, we were given wrong contact numbers and when found the correct one nobody bothered replying to our query, electrified fence but signs were small and very far apart from each other and depending where you came from you didn’t see any! No bins except at entrance of the place, lack of path for pedestrians to access marina, everything is done for anglers not for other holidaymakers. Major building works are being done and nobody bothered telling us so we were woken up on Monday by all the big trucks stopping with engines on by our windows and this every mornings. The horror in discovering we were locked in the place by a chain and padlock at the gate - no emergency vehicles or ourselves could come or leave at night, this was never communicated to us and was discovered when walking our dog after 10.30pm! Overall quite disappointed which is really a shame as the canals were close by for lovely walks to Audlem or Nantwich.

Darren Manchester | Other Coole Acres is a quiet, well tended fishery with some caravans and glamping huts. They had an on site pub which is open at specific times. The staff were all incredibly polite and helpful and the dog friendly pub had a welcoming atmosphere!
