The accommodation was dated and not clean at all, the furniture was marked and stained, the bathroom had been subject to a leak and the wall by the radiator was stained, the handle was hanging off the bathroom door and the ending of the kitchen worktop. We would have liked to ventilate the bedroom but the window handle would not work rendering this inoperable. Externally the decking was slippery on both the ramp and the deck which was risky at times. So all in all not great. This was for a 40th birthday and I was quite embarrassed and disappointed.

While the park and surrounding area is nice, the lodge we stayed in was really poor. Completely lacking in amenities (no tea towel, hand towel etc.), broken blind, broken freezer and more. The lighting is really poor around the hot tub area, something which seems to be mentioned on other reviews. But worst of all, the mattress is an absolute disgrace. Large, painful springs sticking out of it - I’ve since mentioned this to the park and they have just told me to go away. Really, really poor.

The lodge itself was situated on the river, which was lovely. On the first day the hot tub was not ready and up to temp until 11pm which was disappointing and not mentioned until we arrived. The cleanliness of the lodge was not good at all. Cobwebs hanging from downlighters, dirty velux windows with cobwebs hanging down, wood burning utensils found outside and excrement on the toilet brush. Saw cleaning staff smoking inbetween cleaning different lodges and discarding cigarette ends on the floor, and also throwing bags of fresh laundry at the doors of the lodges. Not ideal considering how much we spent. Definitely not worth the money, overpriced for what it is.
