The location was amazing the lodge was great the one thing that let it down was the smell of damp in the en-suite bathroom.

We stayed in a Silver Birch, which had everything we needed and was comfortable. However, the lodge is a little tired and really needs a proper deep clean to get rid of the smell of grease. The oven was not very clean either. The bath was chipped. These small issues affect what could be a lovely lodge. The hot tub which we did enjoy after long walks, was also showing signs of age. The staff were great, very helpful and friendly. The area is beautiful with a delightful river side walk nearby. Lots of walks nearby if you want to drive to them, which we were happy to do.
