A great place to stay, with local access to Cockermouth, and very easy access to the surrounding Lake District Park. The cottage itself is fabulous. It has everything you need, including lovely views and it is very safe for kids/dogs. There is a really lovely forest walk nearby; otherwise it is a drive into Cockermouth, and elsewhere. It gives very easy access to the wider Lakes area. I would highly recommend and I will happily go back.

Ideal location to discover this part of the lake district. Orchard house is in a lovely quiet location but not too remote. Orchard House is one of the nicest holiday lets we have stayed in and we have stayed in a lot over the years.
