Its elevated position offers a peaceful escape and offers a fabulous vantage point for watching sailing vessels and the world go by. The property is on the coastal footpath to Fort Victoria, Yarmouth and Tennyson Down. The area is ideal for walkers, cyclists and families alike. Pitch and putt, crazy golf, football goals and a children’s play area can be found a few minutes away from the property. The Needles, with chair lift, amusement park, boat rides, lighthouse and the coloured sands of Alum Bay are a short distance away. The 17th century Calbourne Water Mill, Carisbrooke Castle and Osborne House and Gardens are also a short drive away. Historic Yarmouth is worthy of a visit and the island can be easily explored from the open-top buses that stop regularly at various collection points across the whole island. Other attractions include Blackgang Chine, the oldest themed attraction in the UK is nearby, and island attractions include Ventnor Botanical Gardens, Isle of Wight Pearl, Dinosaur Isle, and a donkey sanctuary. The impressive south coast and Tennyson Down, with its many walks are only minutes away. Colwell beach is also within walking distance. Beach 1/2 mile. Small local shop and launderette available nearby in the summer. Shop 2 miles, pub and restaurant 11/2 miles.
