Welcome to Mays Cottage, this beautiful cosy cottage is in the stunning village of Charlton, near Ludwell. Entering directly into the living room you are welcomed in via a traditional cottage stable door; the living room boasts a wood burner perfect for them cosy nights in front of the fire after a day exploring the local countryside or visiting the many attractions in nearby towns and villages, such as Ludwell village shop/store (award winning) which is 1 mile away from the property. The kitchen is well equipped with electric oven/hob, fridge/freezer. The dining room is the perfect place to relax in the morning or evening with a well-earned home cooked dinner. The family bathroom is across the hallway from the living room where you have a shower over bath, toilet, and basin.
Taking the stairs to the first floor, you will find two bedrooms, the main bedroom being a double and the second bedroom a single. Due to the narrow winding staircase up to the first floor the property is less suitable for those of limited mobility. Outside you can enjoy the secluded private garden where you can enjoy a morning coffee or evening drink under the stars ready for the next day. With the location only a short drive from Shaftesbury, make sure you make the most of the stunning village centre, Shaftesbury Abbey and the famous local market which are weekly during the summer months and have been running for centuries.
For the walkers among us, the local walks around the stunning Dorset/Wilshire countryside will make you want to keep coming back with ever changing landscapes, stunning views and many more sites to be seen. Further afield you can take in the stunning views of the Jurassic Coastline which starts at Poole Harbour all the way to Lyme Regis. The city of Salisbury is approx. a 40-minute drive from the property. Shops, pub and restaurant 1 mile.
Please note: There are open, steep, spiral or narrow stairs at the property.
