This delightful property is situated near Danes Dyke, which is between Bridlington and Flamborough on the North Yorkshire Heritage Coast. Crab Cottage is a barn conversion finished off to a very good standard with tasteful furnishings and decor. It is very well equipped and provides an excellent base for couples, families and dog owners looking to explore this beautiful coastline. All rooms are on the ground floor making it suitable for people with limited mobility. There is a private garden and access to a paddock area with beautiful wild flowers where you can sit and enjoy the surrounding countryside. Flamborough, with its beaches, white cliffs and lighthouse is a beautiful place to visit with its ample selection of shops and pubs serving good home cooked food.
Crab Cottage is an ideal base for walking and cycling and enjoying the stunning scenery and bird life on this splendid coastline, with the well known RSPB cliff top sanctuary at Bempton just a couple of miles away where you can see the many gannets and puffins nesting there. Sewerby Park and Gardens are only a short drive away to the east where you can enjoy woodland walks, a children’s zoo, a cafe, cricket, bowls, a train and lots more. The countryside on the outskirts of Bridlington has provided David Hockney with the inspiration for one of his exhibitions and there are many walks which allow visitors to view this scenery for themselves. Bridlington itself is a fantastic place for families with its beautiful harbour with two lovely sandy beaches on each side, where you can sail on ’The Yorkshire Belle’ pleasure cruiser that offers a 1 hour cruise along the coast. The children will love the fun fairs, donkey rides, building sandcastles and having great fun splashing around at Leisure World, with its wave pool and slides. This cottage has everything you should require to have a holiday to remember. Shop and pub ¼ mile, restaurant 1½ miles.
