Enjoying breathtaking sunsets and spectacular views from its hillside position overlooking the Isle of Anglesey is this charming, spacious, traditional Welsh detached cottage. Ideal for families, it is set on the owners’ smallholding, with the access road to the small holding passing the cottage, on the outskirts of the village of Rhiwlas, just three miles from the university city of Bangor. Boasting a full size pool/dining table and its own blissful hot tub which is covered but still allows enjoyment of the views over Anglesey (available for the whole of your stay but might not be until 7pm-10pm on the first day of stay) in its large lawned gardens, this is perfect for relaxing after days out exploring the myriad of visitor attractions and exhilarating outdoor pursuits the area has to offer. This includes Europe’s longest zip line at Zip World in the heart of Snowdonia. Glorious sandy beaches, golf, riding, steam trains and castles are also all nearby. Shop 3 miles. Restaurant ½ mile.

The cottage and the host are both warm and welcoming. The welcome basket with the bara birth!! I should have asked for the recipe. The cottage is in a quiet rural setting, with stunning views across to Anglesey. But it's only 10 minutes away from the A55, so you could be in the mountains or on a beach within 20mins. It's well equipped, it even has a pool table under the dining table, which we used and loved. The hot tub was divine, especially on a chilly evening with a cocktail or two. The cottage was well set out for children and teens. There's a snug that's definitely set up for teens amd a good sized lawn out front for children to play on.I would very happily go back and recommend.

The owners were friendly and helpful, any problems and as they lived next door were quickly sorted. Lovely welcome basket with Welsh goodies and homemade bara brith much appreciated. The hot tub was hot and kept its temperature however couple of jets not working, the cover was great so you could use in all weathers. The views from the cottage and the peace made for a relaxing break and the comfy beds meant we all slept well. Think the cottage could do with some redecoration and updating. We also thought that there should be a folder with information regarding the appliances, local services such as nearest doctor, shops etc. Also one hairdryer in a four bed house is not enough, we noted no sticker with electrical check on it and wires exposed near handle. Location near to Anglesey and great beaches was good and we managed to get a Sainsburys delivery. Nice break thank you
