The Cock Inn, Muggington

The Cock Inn in Muggington, not far from Derby, is a traditional village pub with a modern makeover. After being empty for over 10 years, the pub has recently been lovingly restored and reopened, much to the delight of locals and visitors alike. Dogs are allowed in the Farmers Bar, where they're sure to be made a fuss of by the friendly staff.

Prince of Wales, Baslow

For an award-winning Peak District pub that's also dog friendly, look no further than the Prince of Wales in Baslow, around 10 minutes' drive from Bakewell.
