Waren Caravan Park

4.6

out of 5

Situated in one of England’s most idyllic corners, this naturally landscaped park boasts breathtaking views of the Northumberland Coast and proudly holds the David Bellamy Gold Award for Conservation. Set on a headland above Budle Bay Nature Reserve, a haven for birdwatchers, it enjoys sweeping views across to Holy Island, Bamburgh and the Cheviot Hills.
Just a short walk away, Budle Bay offers tranquil wildlife spotting, while nearby Bamburgh Castle and its vast sandy beach, home to one of Britain’s most iconic views provide a dramatic coastal backdrop. Be sure to visit the castle and the fascinating Grace Darling Museum in Bamburgh village.
A must-do is crossing the causeway to Holy Island of Lindisfarne, birthplace of the Lindisfarne Gospels. Wildlife lovers can also explore nearby reserves such as the Farne Islands and Coquet Island.
Inland, the historic market town of Alnwick is home to Alnwick Castle, famously featured in the Harry Potter films and the spectacular Alnwick Garden. Nearby Howick Hall, the home of Earl Grey tea, is another highlight.
To the north, Berwick-upon-Tweed offers rich history, while the surrounding coastline is dotted with charming villages including Seahouses, Craster and Newbiggin-by-the-Sea.
Combining stunning scenery, wildlife and heritage, this park is perfectly placed for an unforgettable coastal escape.
