PAULINE Amble | Other Very friendly and helpfull staff,caravan L2 large , spacious,clean,a couple of snags need attention,trim on laminate floor in kitchen missing ,replaced with tape that was peeling off,rust on radiator in bathroom,a small hoover or carpet sweeper would of come in handy as we were there for 7 nights .But this did not spoil our stay.it was excellent,right next to beach , central to some lovely places.we will definitely be going back ***

Lorraine Portsmouth | Other Upon arriving at Silver Carr caravan park, we were advised by the reception staff that we were in caravan B7. The caravan was not numbered and as the caravan next to B7 had been removed it was not clear which caravan was ours. The caravan was lovely and warm it is dated but was nice and clean. The weather was really windy and raining so we assumed that we were experiencing really poor internet connection due to the weather, however the whole time we were there the internet was horrendous, if I managed to log on then my partner lost his connection and by the weekend we repeatedly were logged out stating that we had the wrong log in or NO wi fi was available. Reception were fully aware and were not able to offer a solution. On the second day we went out for day, when we arrived back at the caravan there was no heating, we assumed that it was thermostatically controlled and would kick in, however we then discovered that we had no hot water, I contacted the emergency telephone number and a gentleman arrived approximately half an hour later and was able to fix it. The boiler run continually the whole time we were there. Although this site advertise there is a clubhouse, we had arrived on the Monday and were informed that it would not be open until Thursday. On Thursday night we decided we would visit the social club and went over, when we went in there were a few ladies who were being seated, the woman behind the bar said to us “ can I help you “ my partner replied we have just come in for a drink. The woman behind the bar then said that they were closing the door at 7.30 ??? As they had a clairvoyant in tonight. (it was 7.15 at this time) we were made to feel that we were NOT WELCOME and decided we would not go back there again. We had chosen this site for the location for visiting Northumberland and were therefore left feeling disappointed.☹️ Northumberland was lovely.
