Nestled less than half a mile from the historic harbour town of Palnackie, Kippford View Holiday Park is a family owned pet-friendly holiday park offering a mix of stylish accommodation.

Far from the hustle and bustle of modern day living in the scenic south west corner of Scotland is a park where tranquillity and stunning views are enjoyed by all. In the summer there is an outdoor heated swimming pool to bask in which helps make Kippford View Holiday Park the ideal place for a peaceful and relaxing break.

Sitting on the banks of the Urr Water estuary, a short walk away is the small village of Palnackie with its own shop and pub. The towns of Castle Douglas and Dalbeattie are close by. Dalbeattie Forest with its miles of fantastic walking trails, wildlife and 7 Stanes Mountain bike trails, let your adventures begin.

Elaine Rothesay | Other Site was very quiet being near the end of the season, facilities were closed. There is no bar or restaurant on site.It is situated close to the village of Palnackie and is just a few miles from Dalbeattie which has some very nice eating placesThe caravan was of a very good standard and well equipped..

| Other The caravan park is in a secluded area although there are shops close by within a five minute drive and it is a great base to explore this beautiful area. It's called Kippford view but I'm struggling to know why as I couldn't see Kippford in the distance and I think this is misleading if you are hoping to be near Kippford . In terms of the site, it looks unloved and basically felt empty, there were numerous empty plots with piles of old decking on them and other areas where old wood and rubbish was piled up. The site is also pitch black at night so you really need a torch to walk round it as there was minimal lighting. If you have mobility issues then it's not the place for you as is built on a hillside. Views from the top are spectacular though .There's a games room and outdoor pool which is open in the summer. The caravan we had was absolutely spotless, well equipped, with a gated decking and very peaceful although perched on the edge of a hill. There were two bricks to assist you reverse parking at the side of your van and preventing you going too far and having an accident! Towels are not included so you need to be mindful of this, the warden was really helpful though and found us some but they werent suitable for a weeks stay.
