Teenagers and toddlers can let their hair down in Basecamp, an indoor activity centre with soft play and the latest contemporary climbing challenges, all alongside cafe facilities. Spend some time fishing on the beautiful fishing lake, or play 9-holes of par 3 golf on a course inspired by the best holes from around the world. If you’d rather unwind, treat yourself to one of the many therapies on offer in the Wellbeing Spa*, or take a swim in the indoor heated pool. | Other We stayed in a Scandinavian lodge for 4. It was very spacious and well equipped in terms of sitting areas and kitchen equipment.A few negatives:The dining room chairs were all ripped and worn.The bathrooms had a lot of black mould around the bath and shower areas.The shower head in the en-suite was caked in limescale.There was a bag of laundry and a hoover left in the hall way-we didn’t know if this was intentional.The tv didn’t work when we arrived and the WiFi was intermittent.The pull out bed was extremely uncomfortable for my daughter who is only 6 so quite light so I imagine as an adult it wouldn’t be fit for purpose.A few positives:The linen was cleanThe lodge was spaciousIt was cold but heated up quick when we turned the heaters on.

Gemma Nottingham | Other When we arrived, the lodges weren’t ready. Lots of people waiting around as this was an issue across the board. We all got told to just wait and the staff member then gave every person a £10 voucher to spend at the restaurant. It’s not exactly good when you’ve travelled miles and you have an elderly mum and kids. You couldn’t buy a meal on £10. It certainly wasn’t a great start. When we eventually got into the lodge. It was run down and not the cleanest. Lots of bugs around. We had a dog and was not given a dog bed or a treat box. The complementary coffees and biscuits were left in a bin bag on the stairs. Everything had been rushed. The main issue that we always have is parking. There is plenty of land, yet 3 cars are supposed to squeeze next to each other from 3 different lodges. You can’t even open the car doors otherwise you’ll hit the other car. We do like this site as we come every year but it’s just certain things that just let it down.

| Other Beautiful large and spacious large. Excellent facilities and amenities. Perfect location. Hot tub was beautiful. Would definitely recommend and would hopefully return again soon
