| Other I want to start by saying we did enjoy our break away at Gadlas Park. The setting is very relaxing and surrounding area is lovely. The lodges are lovely and peaceful. That being said, having stayed here before and giving it a raving review, we did feel a little disappointed this time round! Our lodge ( Sandringham lodge) was lovely and has a nice layout but it did have the feeling that the cleanliness let it down. Dust around the skirting, limescale around the shower/sinks/kettle. There was a very unpleasant smell when we arrived. We kept smelling it throughout our stay and the only thing we think it could have been was the sofas! Also the hot tub wasn’t working properly and wouldn’t get to set temperature. The hot tub also was looking somewhat dated and unloved. Small detail but also disappointed that they didn’t provide bath towels. We had 2 towels but neither big enough and with there being a hottub you would have thought it was a good idea to have full size towels available. We had to go out and buy some. Also no tea towel or coffee making machine as advertised.(was there last time) As I said we did enjoy our break but these factors did make a difference and unfortunately we would think twice to booking again.
