Carla Plymouth | Other Overall the lodge was brilliant, very spacious, modern decor etc. one of the best lodges I have stayed in! The only let down was the heating system kept malfunctioning therefore maintenance visited daily where we were informed it was a manufacture problem. We were offered to move but stayed where we were. Also the last night following a daily inspection of the hot tub, the jets etc didn’t seem to work as was set in “demo” mode but we made reception aware the next morning on check out.

| Other Apartment was very small and very basic. There was the bare minimum of everything so needed to being your own if you were planning on doing much cooking. We have previously been very spoilt with other lodges we have stayed in with welcome baskets and everything you could possibly need, there was none of that here at all. It could definitely do with a little refurb as everything was a bit tired. Outside light on the steps was off the whole time which made walking back at night difficult.Unfortunately we were there in snow and a storm which meant power cuts, the boiler not working so no hot water and the apartment door rattling and banging all night in the wind. The underfloor heating cause the floor boards to creak as they warm up which also does not make for a peaceful night sleep. That coupled with being able to hear the people in other apartments meant sleep and rest were not really had.But all staff we spoke to were lovely, at reception, maintenance and in the restaurant, super friendly and helpful, couldn't fault them.I imagine in the summer when you don't want to spend much time inside it would suit your needs much more, but for a winter stay it was a little disappointing.
