Karen Swindon | Other Reception staff very unhelpful, Dishwasher wasn’t working and I was there for Christmas, the attitude of receptionist was well you should think yourself lucky there’s one in there as not all come with them. There’s just no communication as I arrived on Saturday and the reception said they would book the dishwasher in for repair and get it sorted on Monday. I had to chase them up and nothing was booked in. The First Lady I spoke to said if it couldn’t be fixed they would move me and the other lady I spoke to on the Monday said no they don’t just move people around at short notice.No TVs in bedrooms.Not enough lighting especially to the holiday home, I fell over trying to find the steps as it was so dark.inadequate lighting and signage.I would not recommend or go to Devon hills ever again.

| Other We have stayed at a number of lodges so are familiar with the process and expectations. The concept of a door lock app was new and eventually proved to be effective. Sadly the lodge was not given over until the cleaning was finished. At 4pm. On inspection it was clear that many surfaces had not been cleaned in several months. So much for the 4pm cleaning routine. Although it does state access is available from 1pm if you want to pay 30 each! The main bed mattress was smaller than the bed base and extremely uncomfortable. We were unable to report these issues because the reception was closed for Xmas. Yes no swimming pool the on site pub had closed several months ago . The sofa and chair combo were not superior .Overall a quiet average experience for a premium cost.
