  • About Brunston, Girvan

Nestled in a tranquil South Ayrshire valley with panoramic views of the idyllic countryside and rolling hills that surround it, Brunston is itself set in 25 acres of beautifully landscaped grounds.

With such beauty all around you, the holiday experience begins the moment you arrive at the resort, with relaxation time spent soaking up the surroundings from the comfort of your lodge and private decking area, in the company of loved ones. There are plenty of on-site facilities to enjoy as well, from the heated indoor swimming pool, sauna and well-equipped gym, to activities such as mini golf and table tennis – sure to keep everyone entertained! Meanwhile, Brunston Café Bar is on hand to provide refreshments and light bites including wood-fired pizzas and cakes.

The local area is far too spectacular to be left unexplored, however, and when you venture outside of the resort you’ll find a wealth of attractions right on your doorstep. For woodland walks, wildlife-spotting, mountain biking and forest bathing, Galloway Forest Park is 12 miles away, while the coast is just seven miles west. Top seaside sights include the sandy Girvan Beach, the cliff-top Culzean Castle and Country Park, and the 19th-century Turnberry Lighthouse (near Turnberry Golf Club). South-west Scotland is ready to welcome you!

Alan Plymouth l | Other Went into lodge and it was freezing cold. Put heating on max (several electric wall units) and still didn't warm up until the next evening. Shower didn't work properly, bedroom light didn't work. Both were fixed the next day. Dodgy connection to hob, only worked if you leaned on the isolation switch the right way.Amenities were great but closed at 7pm. Only served pizza (frozen, not fresh). Lodge smelled of damp whenever we entered it. The vehicle entrance to the complex is just a series of pot holes occasionally connected with tarmac. Not impressed!Having said that, the staff were lovely and tried to be helpful. If the lodges had been aired, checked and warm prior to our arrival this could have been a very different experience.

James Glasgow | Other The Lodge was Very well equipped and modern with a Decked seating area. However! It was very hard to reverse in to parking space outside. You have to drive onto neighbours parking space to get to reverse in.Good that the neighbours lodge wasn't occupied. Also we received a phone call asking about Disabled access. So I explained the situation with regards to Steps and walking. When we arrived we ended up in Lodge No 13 which was about 300 Metres away from the Site Facilities and a Hill to walk up.We noticed when we drove round that there were Lodges near to the Facilities that were Empty for the duration of our stay .We also struggled to park in the Disabled Bays outside the Facilities as there were Vans parked in the middle of the car park. So, the site would be Great ,it just needs a bit more attention to detail for Visiting Customers!
