Mark Paignton | Other Hard one to comment on. We were upgraded to a ‘luxury lodge’. It looked great and had plenty of space, and the site felt spacious and green (great to see hedges and trees) so we thought we had landed on our feet. However, why oh why, in a luxury lodge have the cheapest of mattresses? We both had terrible nights sleep (when you sat on the mattress you felt the hard base straight away). The webpage we initially looked at said there was a shop and bar (opening April), so as it was Easter we assumed they were open. Apparently the Entertainment centre housed these amenities and was burnt down (It didn’t look like they had started demolishing the old shell of a building so I suspect the new amenities won’t be ready until next year).The staff we spoke to were helpful and very pleasant. So if you want peace and quiet and a nature friendly area then please consider, but I suggest making enquiries around the quality of mattress before booking

| Other Had the worst time here, The first thing you see is a ruined, roofless building. The cabin I was given had not been cleaned and there was an inch of fluff and filth poking out from the sofa, then we had brown running water on both hot and cold in the kitchen, bathroom sinks and the shower. Nothing was done and the said they had no other accommodation available, so we had to stay in a filthy, cold cabin that was not only cold and filthy but we had to boil saucepans of water to wash and was unable to shower the whole time, disgraceful.
