    Allerthorpe Country Park is located just a few miles to the east of York and is the ideal base to explore the heart of Yorkshire.     Jackie Droylsden Manchester | Other A lovely area very picturesque setting...….gardens are beautiful and well maintained and looked after.Accommodation was very spacious and modern some touches of updating are required such as new carpet but this does not spoil the experience.On site facilities are lovely we had breakfast on our last day in the restaurant/bar this was good value for money and generous portions.Would recommend and would definitely return as such a lot to do in the surrounding are, visited York but would like to return to visit other areas in the vicinity.

    James Burton On Trent | Other Can’t fault the site, this was our second visit. However the cleanliness and maintenance of the lodges was poor. We had the diamond lodge which was quite dirty and poorly maintained. Dishwasher had broken draws and the cooking pans were rusty and unusable. Cooker extractor was filthy as were the shower screens. We had 4 lodges as a family in total and all had maintenance issues from broken furniture and wash sinks. The site needs to spend some money on replacing items.
