    Victoria Abergavenny | Other The lodges appear luxury but the attention to detail on cleaning and some small items really let them down. Certain items missing in the kitchen which are standard for any luxury lodge - grater, cafetière, serving dishes, baking dishes. Rooms are big and the furniture is nice but it’s not cleaned well enough

    | Other The lodges were well equipped with everything we needed for an enjoyable stay and on first glance appeared clean. Unfortunately after staying for the 4nights we realised that it was only a quick clean over and the lodge was in need of a deep clean, the floor was dusty and dirty, there was dried food and stains on the table runner, rubbish stuffed down the sides of the sofa and the drawers had bits of crusty food in the kitchen. There were cracks and mould around the bathrooms too. On the last night we heard scratching and gnawing in the bedroom wall and were terrified of a rodent appearing in the night. I would stay again but only if the lodges are maintained properly, cleaned properly and the rodent problem addressed!!
