Just a short drive from the North Cornish Coast in a truly peaceful location, this grand, detached farmhouse commands an imposing position surrounded by pretty gardens and rolling countryside. Furnished to a very comfortable standard, it offers spacious accommodation and is ideal for large parties or families wishing to holiday together. The historic village of Stratton is just ¼ mile with its lovely church, attractive inns and village shop. Bude, 2 miles, sits dramatically, perched high on the North Cornish Coast. It is incredibly popular year-round and yet manages to retain its Victorian charm whilst offering something for everyone and has an excellent selection of shops and restaurants, many offering local seafood. Water sports enthusiasts will find some of the best surfing waters in Europe nearby, while the golden sands at Widemouth Bay and Crackington Haven (with its rock pools) are ideal for a fun family day out. Walkers, too, are well catered for; gentle strolls can be enjoyed along the towpath of Bude’s canal, which, with its bird hide, attracts all manner of wildlife, while more exhilarating walks can be taken along the spectacular coastal path which winds along high cliffs and includes many lovely, dog-friendly beaches and hidden coves. The Bude and North Cornwall Golf Club (one of Cornwall’s finest) is close by, along with bowling, an indoor ‘Splash’ pool and seawater-fed outdoor pool. Tennis, horse riding, mountain boarding, surfing and fishing are all on offer locally and the internationally acclaimed jazz festival is fantastic and not to be missed. This is a region steeped in legends of King Arthur, with the mystical ruins of a 12th-century castle at Tintagel and the historic coastal village of Boscastle each easily accessible. The picture-postcard village of Clovelly, with winding cobbled streets and quaint fishing harbour lies further north. The Eden Project is also within a short drive; a major attraction, the site promotes the symbiotic relationship between people, plants and natural resources, with three geodesic domes housing plants from around the world. All in all, Trew House offers the perfect base for exploring the many delights which both Devon and Cornwall have to offer. Beach 2 miles. Shop 1/2 mile.

Trew House was very welcoming and provided a cosy place for a family celebration. Despite the bad weather we had a brilliant time because the house was big enough to provide enough space for individual time and ample places for us all to be together. The outside was fabulous but the weather stopped us from using it. Based on my experience I would highly recommend it.

Lovely quiet location, short drive from Bude, where we did most of our shopping. There is a small store in the village where we bough delicious pastys and sausage rolls. Plenty of room to accommodate our group of 10 adults, 2 children, a toddler and a dog and also enough space for us to find a quiet spot if needed. The children loved it. The cake on arrival was also delicious and very welcome. Cannot fault Trew House at all and would highly recommend it.

Super house for extended family holiday, lots of space for the children to run. Close to all of Bude's beaches. Walk along Bude canal was lovely arriving at the Weir Cafe, great spot for lunch. Great take away food in Bude too.We plan to return!
