Set in the beautiful Snowdonia National Park, Betws y Coed is the best known all year round inland destination in North Wales. The town is located in a valley near the point where the River Conwy is joined by the River Llugwy and the River Lledr, and was founded in the late sixth century around a monastery. It has an interesting range of shops and eating establishments and is an excellent base from which to explore both the mountains of Snowdonia and the stunning North Wales Coast.
