On the fringe of Grizedale Forest, 3 Force Forge Cottages is situated in a tranquil location and is an ideal choice for those looking for a peaceful get-away-from-it-all break with marvellous scenery on the doorstep - the secure lockable bike shed with space for several bikes makes the cottage an ideal place to stay for cyclists.
A number of wonderful walks and cycle routes can be enjoyed right from the door; there are many delightful villages and attractions which can be easily reached on foot, by car or bike – spend a day exploring the walking trails of the beautiful Grizedale Forest, with its network of walking routes, cycle paths and sculpture trails.
Force Forge is just a short distance south of the traditional village of Satterthwaite, with its great pub, and nearby Hawkshead has an excellent choice of restaurants and cafes, including the welcoming Queen’s Head pub and restaurant - worthwhile booking in advance!
The cottage is a cosy retreat in a former worker’s cottage in a terrace of four other cottages and next to a former bobbin mill. The cottage has its own garden which is located on the other side of the rear driveway and via the neighbour’s path across which we have right of way. Parking is directly outside the front of the cottage but as the space is shared with the neighbouring cottages, it would be much appreciated if you could park at an angle to the cottage to allow space for the neighbours to park.
