Sherwood Castle Holiday Forest is in the heart of beautiful Robin Hood Country in arguably the most famous forest in England. Nestling in 40 acres of woodland these lovely lodges create a fabulous base for lovers of the great outdoors while enjoying one of Britain’s most enchanting areas.
The park provides a magical base for couples and friends, and an excellent choice for a family break at any time of year.

On-site, the park provides a wide variety of activities for all ages and tastes including woodland trails, outdoor activities, an animal corner, bug hotel and bird feeding viewing wall, as well as swimming pool. Whilst off-site there is a huge range of places to visit many on the doorstep including the fabulous brand new RSPB Visitor Centre in Sherwood Forest just 3 miles away, and the beautiful Rufford Abbey Country Park a short stroll away.

Due to steep gradients and steps, Sherwood Castle Holiday Forest is not suitable for wheelchair users or persons with mobility difficulties.

Jo Rowley Regis | Other The site is excellent it’s lovely and peaceful and there’s lots of onsite activities.The cabin was lovely and the four of us and two dogs had lots of room.We weren’t expecting a hot tub so that was a bonus.My only complaints and these were reported however not rectified.We had no TV’s in either room as they weren’t tuned into free view. The staff came and looked and said that they couldn't find the box to work it and would be back.They didn’t come back!A light in the kitchen kept flashing, the USB in the plug sockets didn’t work. We told the lad that came to sort tv and he said he’s be back. Fortunately I’d taken my wifi dongle and Firestick so we could watch BBC iplayer and Netflix.We’ve noticed its been renamed Liv resorts and we believe it will be an improvement.It was a lovely relaxing break for Christmas just need the little things sorting.

| Other Absolutely horrendous. One of the bedrooms was particularly dirty , we found used ear buds on the floor and under the bed. Also when we arrived they were setting up a Halloween event and was told to come back as it would be ready by then. When we got there a couple of days later we were told our children couldn’t go in as it needed to be booked online something that we were never told about. When we arrived home after our stay we realised we had left a jacket on the back of one of the bedroom door. . I rang to ask about this and had to keep chasing this up . The woman on reception would say she would ring me back when she had spoke to the cleaner and never did. I had to keep ringing. I was then sent a jacket through the post which wasn’t our jacket and then to be told no other jacket was found. Our jacket was left there so the only explanation was it had been taken by staff. . Reception also admitted no one had stayed in that cabin after us. . Would not recommend this place.
