The Cornish coastal resort of Bude with the great Atlantic Ocean to one side and miles of rolling countryside to the other, is just down the road with charming shops, bars, cafés, and restaurants along with its beautiful sandy beaches. Visit the historic Bude Castle nestled in the sand dunes overlooking Summerleaze Beach and beside the Bude Canal. Grab a coffee on the Wharf or dine on the Barge, hire one of the rowing boats or paddle boats. Bude has a delightful choice of shops and a good range of facilities including an indoor swimming pool - Splash Leisure Pool and the amazing sea pool on Summerleaze Beach. Penstowe Park sits on the edge of the village of Kilkhampton which has a couple of pubs you can easily walk to - just a 10 min stroll in to Kilkhampton, a couple of grocery stores, a butchers, a Chinese takeaway and a pizza takeaway!
Due to steep gradients and steps, this park is not suitable for wheelchair users or persons with severe mobility difficulties.
